	The first community foundation was established in 1914 in Cleveland, Ohio
	Our foundation is one of 637 community foundations throughout the United States -- 60 of them in Michigan
	Since we began in 1992, our community foundation has distributed more than $10.4 million in grants and scholarships
	A Youth Advisory Committee (better know as YAC), made up of students from throughout our county, helps oversee and distribute grants from a $1 million fund exclusively dedicated for the benefit of young people
	1,464 students have received scholarships totaling $1.36 million from our community foundation
	Donors have created 229 separate funds within the community foundation
	Our foundation manages 38 agency endowment funds on behalf of local nonprofit organization
	55 donor advised funds allow the benefactors who created them to have a say in what to support
	Last year, 1,141 people made a gift to our community foundation
