other governmental units, and community projects that serve Charlevoix
County |

Arts and culture, education, environmental initiatives, community and
economic development, civic improvement, human services, health and
wellness projects, recreation, and youth programs |

we usually don't fund
Ongoing organizational operating expenses, office equipment, political
campaigns, sectarian organizations, loan payments or deficit spending,
those services normally supported by tax dollars, fund-raising
projects, or grants to individuals |

to apply
Call our office to discuss your project and make sure it meets our
grantmaking criteria. We'll be happy to provide advice and assistance.
Then complete a simple grant application and submit it to our
office—along with your proposed budget, annual audit, and confirmation
of your organization's nonprofit 501(c) 3 status |

to apply
We have two grantmaking cycles each year, and deadlines for
applications are March 1 and October 1. Occasionally we consider
out-of-cycle grant requests if there's a time-sensitive issue or
emergency that requires immediate action |
