Improving your community
We're all about making our towns the best they can be. For example: the foundation helped both the Crooked Tree District Library in Walloon Lake and the Boyne District Library build new facilities and the Charlevoix Library add equipment, hosted community forums on current issues, assisted Beaver Island's plan for a Community House, created a beautiful heritage garden at the Charlevoix Depot, constructed basketball and tennis courts and a band shell in East Jordan, built homes with Habitat for Humanity, helped low-income residents qualify for their first home, and supported conflict-resolution training in schools, businesses, and law enforcement departments. |
