Opportunities for Giving for Donor Advisors
Environment and Land Use
February 1st was the deadline for nonprofit partners to apply for grant support in the areas of environmental education, protection, restoration, access, and sustainability in and around Charlevoix County. We are excited to offer a focused grant cycle with a quick turnaround and a larger pot of available grant dollars to support this important community priority. Below you will find summaries of those requests, which may inspire you to provide support from your donor advised fund. The Environmental Advisory Committee will meet February 20, 2020 to interview applicants and make funding recommendations from discretionary environmental funds.
If you would like to help them stretch the available grant dollars further, please be in touch with Sara Ward to make grant recommendations before their meeting on February 20 - use this highlighted link to generate an email that is set up for you to easily enter recommendations. If you would like to wait for their decisions and recommend support for any remaining need, you can expect to hear from Sara by email following the meeting with updated information. We would ask you to make grant recommendations quickly after that notification so that the Board of Trustees can review the total grant recommendations and partners can be informed of their results in early March.
Thank you for your interest and support! If you have any suggestions that would improve your experience as a donor advisor, we are always interested in your feedback. You'll hear from us again after the next grant deadline in May. We appreciate your partnership in philanthropy!
