beaver island historical society cultural programming

BIHS brought in the Stapletons, a harp and guitar group that combined sea shanties, storytelling, and songs of the Great Lakes and timber industry to delight the audience. Additionally, an engaging presenter, Paleo Joe, came to the Island during Museum Week and entertained nearly 50 children with his energetic and educational presentation about fossils and paleontology. Both programs were well-attended and enjoyed by all. A big thanks goes out of all of our Arts & Culture Fund donors, who make these and other programs possible. Interested in joining them?
