Beaver Island Performing Arts Alliance - Jaeden Izik-Dzurko

Last year, support from a C3F Arts & Culture grant helped the Beaver Island Performing Arts Alliance to bring Jaeden Izik-Dzurko, winner of the 2024 Leeds International Piano Competition, as the star performer during the 2025 Baroque on Beaver Summer Festival! At 25 years old, he was declared by the Leeds Competition as the best classical pianist under the age of 30 in the world. In the opening concert he played Scriabin, Chopin, and Beethoven - all spectacularly. But festival organizers say what really brought the house down was an unannounced jazz performance of one of the famous Oscar Peterson's works. Truly, the audience went wild. No one had considered that a concert pianist could do so much with a jazz piece. It sure made for a memorable evening!
