Boyne Arts Center and Boyne District Library children's art camp

The camps introduced children to famous artists and explored different mediums through literacy, art history, and engaging projects. Classes were held in the BAC classroom with daily trips to the library to hear stories and do research. On the daily return trip to the BAC classroom, campers explored Boyne City, observed how art applies to everyday life, and viewed/discussed original artwork in the BAC gallery. The kids had a great time, learned a lot, and the parents were impressed as well.

One mom said, "I can't say enough about how much my kids enjoyed Boyne Arts Center's art camp. They weren't just making crafts- they were learning about art, seeing it in the community, and feeling inspired to create their own art. The mix of creativity, movement, and exploration was wonderful".

Another parent said "My seven year old daughter attended camp this year and we were blown away with this experience. Not only did she learn new skills and knowledge, she also gained confidence as an artist!” BAC is already planning camps for summer of 2026.
