The Boyne Citizen is a local, nonprofit news source for the Boyne area, created in response to the "news desert” in our local area. Over the last few years, a few local citizens noticed the absence of a regular and reliable media source covering the local news necessary to be an informed citizen. People were increasingly relying on social media, gossip, and opinion in the absence of a factual, unbiased new source.
