City of East Jordan - Memorial park upgrades

Located where the Jordan River meets Lake Charlevoix, adjacent to the city marina, the downtown business corridor and accessible to M-32, Memorial Park is the centerpiece of East Jordan. In 2021, the City completed the Joining Jordan boardwalk and waterfront improvement project that instantly proved a need for pedestrian accessibility within the waterfront zone. The Memorial Park improvements were a second phase to the waterfront improvements which have significantly improved the gathering amenities in the heart of downtown East Jordan. The restrooms and marina facilities got an upgrade, the location of sidewalks were adjusted and improved, a larger lawn was created for festivals and concerts, and the park was reworked into a more welcoming space for all of the downtown gatherings held there. It looks amazing, and we can't wait to enjoy concerts, festivals and other events there this summer!
