Grants in Action - Northwoods Music Collaborative

A recent C3F Mini Grant helped to bring some special music workshops and a concert to Beaver Island this summer. In collaboration with TUNES Music Makers, the Northwoods Music Collaborative brought musicians and dancers to the Island who led the community in workshops to learn how to play the fiddle, guitar, and other instruments, as well as percussive dance and Irish songs and music. The workshops were well attended by people of all ages who enjoyed playing instruments, dancing, and singing. The events culminated in a concert where all of the skills were put on display for the community audience. A great time was had by all!
