power book bags - Free Books for kids

Thanks in part to a C3F Communities Priorities grant, families are delighted to be able to select brand new books from Power Book Bags for their children with each visit to the Health Department of Northwest Michigan. Each new book into the home invites more opportunities for family engagement, language development, and exposure to early literacy, which are the components known to build stronger brains, healthier relationships, and future academic and social success. From June 2024 – May 2025, with support from our donors, a total of 2,247 books went out the doors and into the hands of young children in Charlevoix County! C3F staff even got a chance to visit Power Book Bags’ new location in Traverse City. Enjoy some photos of their space, chock full of books and learning materials for children of all ages.
