PPMI Sexual Health Toolkit

With the support of a 2024 Youth Needs grant, Planned Parenthood of Michigan was able to create a sexual health toolkit and provide it to over 400 students in 7th-12th grade. The “Bridging Over Silence & Stigma: A Sexual Health Toolkit for Youth and Supportive Adults”, was inspired by an expressed need from youth in Northern Michigan for more resources surrounding sexual health, specifically those that can help youth and adults have more supportive conversations about sexual health topics like consent, relationships, and media literacy. Created with the help of a Toolkit Advisory Board, which was composed of youth and adults in Charlevoix County who provided their perspective, insight, and feedback, ensured that this resource was created for and by Northern Michigan voices and experiences! The toolkit has resources, activities, and prompts to talk more openly and supportively about sexual health and comes in both digital and physical format.  Over 370 sexual health toolkits have already been delivered across Northern Michigan, and it can be found online at www.ppmi.org/sexual-health-toolkit. C3F’s Administrative Assistant, Bekah Rutz, was on hand to celebrate the launch of the toolkit.
