The Kiwanis Club of Charlevoix Michigan Dolly Parton Imagination Library Revival

They picked up the program after another organization couldn’t carry on. In the last year, they have served an average of 560 children each month! The Dolly Parton Imagination Library provides one free book each month to each child in the program, ages birth to 5. That’s a lot of books! The club reports seeing a love of reading returning to families in Charlevoix County, and they are encouraged to keep the program going as long as possible. As you might imagine, providing that many free books doesn’t come at no cost. With the support of grants and community donors, this program can continue improving literacy in our community.
