Training Wheels Childcare Center - AED Units

Training Wheels Childcare Center prioritizes child safety and prides itself on “loving children like Grandma does.” When former Executive Director Andrea Whitaker realized the nearest AED was located on the other side of the building, she knew immediate action was needed because every second counts in an emergency.

Thanks to a recent Urgent Needs Grant, Training Wheels was able to purchase a dedicated AED for the childcare center, complete with pediatric pads for young children. “We all hope there is never a need to use it, but knowing it could mean the difference between saving a life and not is something we will never take for granted,” Andrea shared.

The grant also funded new first aid kits for every classroom, as well as the lunchroom and playground. “The new first aid kits are a wonderful addition,” Andrea said. “They are easy to transport when needed and stocked with all OSHA-required supplies.” With these critical safety upgrades in place, Training Wheels is even better equipped to protect the children and families it serves every day.
