Wagbo Farm & Education Center - Monthly Potlucks
The potlucks included a presentation or discussion topic related to the cultural concerns of the day, including housing affordability, preservation using fermentation, garment repairs, mindfulness, wild foraging for food, and more. These events were held consistently each month with an average of about 19 attendees each, and 110 new people attending that had not been to Wagbo over the last few years, or ever. More important than numbers are the unique experiences people have when they attend a Wagbo event.
Attendees had a lot of fun creating macrame, making jewelry, Halloween costumes and homemade wreaths, and learning how to mend their favorite garments. Wagbo staff report that the appreciation and enjoyment by each attendee has been amazing and many precious family memories were created during these events.
